The big summer celebration is upon us. The opportunity to spend time with family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues doing a variety of extracurricular activities. For many businesses this pause also incorporates vacation season. Adjustments to headcount being available to complete the demands of the customers flexes at the same time other businesses or industries are elevating the need to complete projects during this perceived slower time of the year.
As business leaders we need to keep the various demands on both client expectations and staff expectations in mind and in balance to the best of our ability. The juggling act of talent availability to commitment demands is always interesting during these times but it ramps up around and during traditional vacation periods.
What ever your business or industry practices are for celebrating the 4th of July, keep in mind that we pause not just for time off. We pause as a means to reflect on what we actually need to be thankful for living here in the United States – our freedoms, our people, our cultures and our future.
From your Promise Guides at JKL Associates – May everyone have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July holiday!
