On Monday, we pause to memorialize those men and women who had such belief in the freedoms we have here in the USA that they sacrificed at the highest level – To give life for another.
In the business leadership world, we hear the phrase of striving to be a Servant Leader. Lead by serving. That can be captured in the lives of those we need to remember on Monday – Memorial Day 2024, and every year.
Our society is very confused these days with all of the chaos on any number of topics. Even within this confusion, the freedoms that were won and protected by those who served us give us such privileges that we not only take for granted but have begun to use these freedoms to divide and separate for individual rewards.
As leaders in the business community, we have influence and power by being servant leaders. Servant Leaders don’t take the easy road. They take the correct road. One that serves others first.
Over the coming days, take some time to step back and assess your leadership influence and how it can positively impact yourself, your team, and your community. It is up to servant leaders to set an example and pace for a brighter future. Memorial Day should be a time of respect and remembrance for those who have gone before and set the tone for real servant leadership.
